I am an abstract artist who creates and paints on sculpted canvases. My paintings do not start with the first brush stroke; they start with the first cut of a saw that shapes the stretcher. The visualization and creation of the supporting stretchers is an integral part of my creative painting process. I am fascinated and intrigued by how far I can push canvas from a traditional square or rectangular shape that hangs on the wall.
