Alex is an emerging artist and holds a honours B.A. in Visual Studies from the University of Toronto. She currently works in film based photo manipulations and intaglio printmaking out of Toronto’s Open Studio. Most of her work deals with universal states of mind, integrated with personal but relative narratives. The work is about dealing with a continuous feeling of impermanence and a struggle to reach idealistic dreams that have become so important within our culture. She has recently exhibited at The Koffler Centre of the Arts and the Gladstone Hotel for CONTACT.
