Born in Peterborough Ontario, Andrew MacDonald graduated from the Ontario College of Art and Design in 2001 and recently received a Master of Fine Art degree from the University of Western Ontario. MacDonald was reconfiguring and manipulating materials and objects at an early age. The process of dissection and reassembly of everyday materials and objects, remains part of MacDonald’s practice as an artist. Currently living and working in London Ontario, MacDonald produces figurative, abstract, sculptures and installations through the medium of knitted textiles and sweaters. |
