In this current body of new paintings Swing, Croatian-born Nada Sesar-Raffay marks a return to painting with oil for the artist and is a direct and intuitive response to the urban culture of Toronto, where Sesar-Raffay resides, combined with Croatian culture and past memories. Sesar-Raffay graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts – Painting, University of Zagreb, Croatia, 1976. She has been represented by Edward Day Gallery, Toronto since 2000. |
